PRIVACY POLICY
OVERVIEW
LEO Pay Tracker ("the App") is designed with officer privacy as a core principle. All data you enter into the App is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to external servers, third parties, or cloud services of any kind.
DATA WE COLLECT
We do not collect any personal data. The App does not transmit, upload, or share any information you enter. All data — including your salary, schedule, overtime logs, leave balances, and officer profile — remains on your device at all times.
DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
The following information is stored locally on your iPhone only:
- Officer profile (name, badge number, rank, department)
- Salary and contract information
- Work schedule and shift patterns
- Overtime, training, and leave log entries
- Pay period and payroll settings
- Leave balances (vacation, sick, comp time)
- App appearance and display preferences
This data is stored using iOS's standard local storage (AsyncStorage) and is never accessible to us or any third party.
CALENDAR EXPORT & SHARING
The App includes an optional feature that allows you to export your work schedule as a standard calendar file (.ics format). Regarding this feature:
- The exported file is generated entirely from data stored locally on your device
- No data is transmitted to our servers at any point during this process
- The file is shared directly from your device using iOS's native share sheet
- You have full control over who receives the exported file
- The exported file may contain your scheduled work days and logged entries such as overtime for the time period you select
- Once shared, the file is subject to the privacy practices of the recipient's calendar application (Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, etc.)
We recommend only sharing your schedule with trusted individuals such as family members, supervisors, or union representatives.
ANALYTICS & TRACKING
The App does not use any analytics tools, crash reporting services, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies. We do not know how many people use the App, how often it is opened, or what features are used.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The App does not integrate with any third-party services. There are no advertisements, no in-app purchase processors collecting financial information, and no social media integrations.
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain usage and diagnostic data as part of their standard platform operations. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/privacy for details.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is intended for use by law enforcement professionals and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
SECURITY
Because all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your information is protected by your device's own security features including Face ID, Touch ID, and your device passcode. We recommend keeping your device secured at all times.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If this privacy policy is updated, the revised policy will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
